New Mexico is getting a lot of international visits this year.

According to statistics, the state accrued 10,000 more visitors, representing an average of a 1.1% increase from 2024 to 2025, while the U.S observed a 5.5% decline in international visits.

An estimated 760,000 international travelers were found to have visited New Mexico in 2025.

These numbers come after the country as a whole has seen a decline in international visitors after the COVID-19 pandemic.

New Mexico welcomed 41.6 million visitors total in 2025, generating an estimated $8.8 billion in direct visitor spending.

The 2025 Economic Impact report by Tourism Economics also reveals that visitor spending on food and beverage, retail and recreation grew between 2024 and 2025, indicating that travelers to New Mexico continue to prioritize spending on outdoor recreation and cuisine.
