Roswell PD investigating double homicide

Roswell police are investigating a shooting on Tuesday morning that left two individuals dead.

Officers responded to a house around 3 a.m. in the 1600 block of Juniper Street after a welfare check was requested at the residence by the friend of a female who reported hearing multiple gunshots at the house while talking to the resident on the phone.

After the gunshots, the resident no longer responded to her friend on the other end of the phone call.

Officers found the resident, 38-year-old Stacia Marie Pearce and a local man, Tony Joseph Ontiveros, 39, deceased inside the residence. Both victims had gunshot wounds.

Following the shooting, officers say a vehicle belonging to Pearce was stolen but has since been recovered.
