Knowings reportedly suffered from an asthma attack Friday that left her with brain damage, according to TMZ. She was then placed on life support.
She starred on the kids’ comedy sketch show “All That” from 1997 to 1999, which also starred Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes.
Her “All That” characters included Brenda Stone, a news anchor, and Jessica from the “Whateverrrr!” sketches she did alongside Bynes.

As an adult, Knowings became more focused on being a hip-hop musician. But she still looked at her teen stardom with a lot of fondness.
“Being on ‘All That’ was definitely an incredible experience,” she told Occhi Magazine in 2019. “I love that I am part of something so iconic that brought so many people a great deal of joy. Fans often express how much my presence on the show meant to them.”
Thompson, who’s been a mainstay on Saturday Night Live for more than 20 years, posted about Knowings on Thursday.
“Man this one hit hard!!! Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!! Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!!” he wrote on Instagram.
