Mandatory evacuations ordered for the Frijoles Fire
Residents at Camino de Canon Street in Cundiyo are in GO status and should evacuate immediately. The rest of the Cundiyo community, along with the community of Cerro Pinon, has been moved to SET status.
SANTA FE COUNTY, N.M. —
Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for the Frijoles Fire due to changing conditions related to the fire.
Residents living on Camino de Canon Street in Cundiyo have been placed in GO status and have been ordered to evacuate immediately. GO status means you must leave with your emergency supply kit.
The Pojoaque Valley Middle School Gym, located at 1797 State Road 502, has been designated as the evacuation site. The gym can be accessed from Grazing Elk Drive, off Camino Cerrado.
The remainder of Cundiyo, along with Cerro Pinon, is now in SET status. Residents in these areas should have a go-bag and any important items ready in case mandatory evacuations are ordered.
Anyone with livestock can call (505) 428-3710 if there is a need to relocate livestock to a safe area.
The Frijoles Fire has burned 4,159 acres, with zero percent containment.
NM-503 remains closed between County Road 98 and State Road 76. In addition, the Santa Fe National Forest has closed Forest Road 306, from the intersection of Forest Road 440 and Forest Road 306 west to the Forest Boundary and Forest Road 306.
