One person critically injured in vehicle versus motorcycle crash
The motorcycle rider has been taken to a local hospital with critical injuries
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Police are trying to determine what led to a vehicle versus motorcycle crash Sunday in west Albuquerque.
A spokesperson for Albuquerque Police says the crash occurred Sunday around 2:30 p.m. near Ladera Drive Northwest and 72nd Street Northwest.
The person aboard the motorcycle has been taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
Officer say preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Ladera Drive, while the truck was traveling northbound on 72nd Street. The truck driver proceeded through the intersection and did not see the motorcycle.
The motorcycle rider laid the motorcycle down in an attempt to avoid the collision and hit the truck, according to a press release from APD. The motorcycle rider remains in critical condition.
