A New York City chef is turning heads and making mouths water after turning the trunk of a tiny two-seater Smart Car into a curbside pizzeria, serving customers on the go.

WABC and CNN’s Jeremy Roth reported that Bradley Alvelo makes pizzas in the trunk and uses portable generators for power, drawing attention for his unusual setup.

The innovative chef’s portable approach to the business — known as Pizza Pod — has helped him build a name in the city and on social media, which has translated to attracting business.

On its Instagram page, Pizza Pod refers to itself as NYC’s Smallest Pizzeria and says it provides a “mobile stone-fired pizza experience” and is available to be booked for events.

Pizza Pod’s website states that the idea for the tiny, mobile pizza shop “started with a simple idea,” which is to “bring real New York pizza anywhere.”
