Impact canyon wind & severe storms

Strong canyon winds with gusts up to 55 mph are possible in the Albuquerque metro tonight into early Saturday morning. The winds will usher in higher humidity and bring a better chance for thunderstorms on Saturday as well. There will also be a threat for severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts and hail along with locally heavy rainfall. The heat will, briefly, back off Saturday. However, temperatures will quickly rebound to well-hotter than average Sunday into Monday. Albuquerque is likely to top out around 100° again for Monday and Tuesday. Stay hydrated and never leave people or pets in vehicles.
