Very hot Friday across New Mexico with heat advisories in place
Parts of southern, central and northwestern New Mexico are under heat advisories as afternoon temperatures could hit triple digits

Friday is looking to be very hot across New Mexico, with many parts of the state expected to hit triple digits. Heat advisories are in place in southern, central and northwestern areas, meaning temperatures could be between 100 degrees and 107 degrees this afternoon. Hot temperatures are expected to continue throughout the weekend. Parts of southern and eastern New Mexico could see some storms this afternoon. Winds are also expected to crank up in Albuquerque Friday evening.
