Scotty McCreery and his wife, Gabi, have two children at home, Avery (3) and Oliver (9 months).
McCreery tends to stay out of Nashville and the limelight, choosing to live in North Carolina, so whenever we get an update about his family and kids, we know it’s a rare one.
Scotty McCreery Says His 9-Month-Old Son is Already in 18-Month Clothes
McCreery was a guest on Country Countdown USA, where he was asked how his two kids are doing — that’s when we learned that McCreery’s youngest son, Oliver, is a straight-up beast.
“He’s been such a little cutie, and he’s a big boy. He’s 9 months wearing 18-month clothing.”
Being such a big boy already, when McCreery was asked if he was mobile yet, he said, “Not yet, but he’s starting to rock back and forth. But at the moment, it’s just too much weight to move. We got our hands full in all the best ways. When the day ends, we just appreciate the blessings we have. It’s crazy, but an amazing time in the house right now.”
McCreery took a moment to update us all on his older son, Avery, as well.
“Avery’s awesome and loves to teach his brother things. Avery’s into sports and wonders ‘Why can’t Ollie do this with me?’ Avery is a ham, so if he sees Ollie making people laugh, he’ll jump in and try to make people laugh too.”
Scotty McCreery New Music
Scotty McCreery just released 15, a retrospective album celebrating 15 years since his American Idol audition and win. It features nine of his hit songs and four new recordings. The album dropped on July 17, 2026.

But McCreery tells Country Countdown USA, “I’m itching to get back in the studio to make a full length album. I’ll be back in the studio in a month or two, been writing songs for that. Can’t wait for folks to hear what we’re working on.”
