Daily storm chances continue
We are dialing up the heat in the week ahead and keeping rain and storm chances in the forecast almost every day. Sunday starts dry with plenty of sunshine. Highs across the Albuquerque metro will top out slightly hotter at 97 degrees; 91 for Santa Fe. Plan for another round of scattered showers and storms during the afternoon and evening hours on Sunday. These storms will be spotty in nature, so some areas will miss out. Stay alert for potential flash flooding where strong storm cells move through. We have the potential for triple-digit heat across the Rio Grande Valley and Eastern New Mexico over the next several days. Expect heat alerts and take precautions to stay safe.
