Ella Langley’s Dress Came Apart Mid-Set But She Had a Quick Fix

Date:

Ella Langley spent much of her show in Baltimore wearing a Ravens jersey, but it wasn’t by choice or a need to appease the crowd.

It was out of necessity after her dress completely unzipped on stage.

Ella Langley Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction on Stage in Baltimore

Langley was fulfilling her duties opening for Morgan Wallen on his Still the Problem Tour over the weekend. During the second song of her her 60-minute set, the country songstress says her entire dress came unzipped. And it was raining.

“Yesterday my entire dress came unzipped on song #2 in a 60 minute set in the pouring rain in a stadium full of people,” she writes on her Instagram stories.

Ella Langley Performs in Baltimore Wearing a Ravens Jersey

It doesn’t sound like Langley had a spare outfit lying around, so she did the best with what was available. She threw on a Baltimore Ravens jersey, which was fitting, given she was performing on a stage in the middle of the team’s home field at M&T Bank Stadium.

The jersey must have been a gift or sorts from the venue since the name on the back reads “Langley” and the number on front —  26 — represents the year. The purple color also paired nicely with the pink dress she was wearing originally. The pink fringe complimented it as it poked out from beyond the sleeves and hemline.

She quickly shimmied into the jersey and then kept playing like the professional she is.

Ella Langley Is Dominating Music Right Now

Langley’s ability to roll with the punches is one of the reasons why fans love her so much. She doesn’t exude diva-like behavior and this moment is a prime example.

Meanwhile, she continues to dominate not just the country format, but music as a whole. She currently has three of the top four songs on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart with “Choosin’ Texas” (1), “Be Her” (2) and “I Can’t Love You Anymore” ft. Morgan Wallen (4).

The only thing keeping her from a clean top-three sweep is Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You.”

The 15 Best Ella Langley Songs

Ella Langley showed up in country music’s mainstream as a dark horse with an unlikely hit: “You Look Like You Love Me,” a Riley Green duet that was catchy as all get-out but featured some unusual (and old-school) stylistic choices like talk-singing.

But it was a smash. And that turned out to be just the beginning of what Langley had to offer. She’s continued to dominate with hits like “Weren’t For the Wind” and the crossover mega-hit “Choosin’ Texas,” becoming one of the most high profile acts in country music and a bonafide star even beyond the genre.

Keep reading for Taste of Country’s countdown of 15 Ella Langley songs that put her on the map, and then rewrote the rules of what traditional country sounds like — and how successful it can be even beyond the genre.
