Officials at Cannon Air Force Base in eastern New Mexico search for missing airman

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M.

Officials at Cannon Air Force Base in eastern New Mexico are searching for a missing airman.

Cannon AFB officials say they are looking for Brandon Freeman.

Officials say Freeman was last seen wearing a black shirt and brown sweatpants. He has been known to wear hoodies all the time, even when hot, but was not wearing one when last sighted.

He was last seen on 13 July 2026 at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of S Lea Street, Clovis, NM.

He is described as about five foot five inches tall with brown eyes and black hair. He is of Asian descent and has tattoos of a moth and a scorpion on his right arm, and a yin and yang on his left arm.

Freeman is an active duty airman stationed at the base.

Officials say Freeman has a history of drug abuse and it is believed he could be experiencing a mental health crisis.
