Kane Brown has got to be a pretty cool dad being a country singer and all, but there’s one thing he won’t let his kids do — get a tattoo.
That might be difficult line to draw in the sand, given that Brown has dozens of tattoos of his own.
Kane Brown Won’t Let His Kids Get Tattoos
While chatting with Inked Magazine about his body art, his three children happened to come up in the conversation. When asked if he would allow any of them to get a tattoo, he said no.
“No, I won’t let my kids have tattoos, at least until they’re out of the house, and then I can’t really say nothing,” the country singer explains.
“I don’t know, I mean, I want to be the cool parent, but I also don’t want to because I know how I feel about mine,” he continues. “Like, I didn’t think about mine. I just started thinking about it and then I was like, ‘Whatever, just put it on my body.'”
“And then 10 years later, I’m like, ‘Meh.'”
That doesn’t mean his kids won’t be interested in tattoos one day. In fact, Kingsley has already made comments about her dad’s ink.
“My oldest is about to be 7,” Brown says of his daughter. “She just started talking about them. She’s like, “I love your tattoos, dad. I can’t wait to get some.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re not getting any.'”
Kane Brown Shares His Most Meaningful Tattoos
While the “Woman” singer’s first tattoo was a big “John 3:16” on his chest, the more meaningful pieces are those regarding the people closest to him.
“I would say family’s names,” he says of the ink that means the most to him.
He admits to the publication that he still hasn’t gotten his son Krewe’s name tattooed on him, despite his only boy being 2 years old already.
“I don’t know. I feel like once you have a lot of tattoos, you get to the point where you hate getting tattoos,” he shares. “You love them, but you can’t stand getting them. That’s me.”
Brown also has a diamond tattoo that means a lot to him since he got it to honor his two songs that have reached diamond certification with the Recording Industry Association of America. He tells the magazine that all of his ink has some kind of meaning behind it.
And while Brown isn’t the only country singer with a tattoo or two, he’s certainly one of the ones with the most.
