Something that I was shocked to hear about Moroney and her stage outfits is the weight of the gear she wears on stage.
Meghan Moroney Says Her Concert Outfits Weigh 15 Pounds
Megan Moroney was a guest on the Bobbycast where she got to talking about performing and training for her tour.
“I do all my rehearsals in a weighted vest,” she reveals. “I’ve underestimated how sometimes my outfits weigh 10 to 15 pounds.”
Before she started rehearsing in the weighted vest, she sais that sometimes “when I’ve done the performance I’ve been like ‘oh sh–, I am not in shape for this.”
10-15 extra pounds might not sound like the biggest difference, but you’ve got to remember that Moroney, like most headlining performers, aren’t just standing there while they sing: They’re moving around the stage, under bright lights, while belting out their songs. And a headlining set can last at least 60 minutes. That’s a pretty significant workout!

Moroney says, “Singing with a weighted vest and on a treadmill. Sauna and cold tub every day.”
