Bailey Zimmerman Facing Felony Charge Over $16K Property Damage

Bailey Zimmerman is facing two charges, including a felony charge for criminal damage to property, according to TMZ.

Legal documents obtained by the outlet state that the charges are in connection with an incident that took place surrounding a performance he was scheduled to give in Albuquerque, N.M., on May 27. Zimmerman wound up postponing that show, plus another on May 30, and said on social media that he was battling an illness.

But the affidavit associated with the charges paints a different picture of how that day transpired.

Bailey Zimmerman Charged With Felony Property Damage, Docs Allege He Was Drunk

Per TMZ, the documents state that Zimmerman was supposed to perform at Albuquerque’s Sandia Resort and Casino on May 27.

But security at the hotel where he was staying said he appeared intoxicated that evening. Authorities also said that he was acting drunk at sound check: Even “throwing microphones on the ground, tossing cymbals and knocking part of the drum kit over.”

He also allegedly “stormed off stage multiple times” before leaving sound check to return to the resort. Documents say the singer was upset about riding in a white SUV instead of a black one, and that he spit in the direction of a security officer.

Documents also report that Zimmerman had a bloodied knee and his shoe had come off when he arrived back at the resort, and he was assisted by a member of his group as he walked down the hallway.

What Charges Have Been Filed Against Bailey Zimmerman?

Bailey Zimmerman is facing a felony charge for criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor charge for falsely obtaining services.

Zimmerman was allegedly kicked out of the resort where he was staying, but the hotel states that they discovered after he left that his room had been trashed — and the value of damage in the court documents is assessed at around $16,000. It allegedly includes damage to the television, phone, walls and carpet as well as two missing chairs.

Also included in the documents is Zimmerman’s alcohol tab. The singer allegedly charged $400 worth of booze to his room but never paid for it.

TMZ reports that Bernalillo County prosecutors filed criminal charges to obtain an arrest warrant for Zimmerman on June 18.

Zimmerman has been on his Different Night, Same Rodeo Tour for much of 2026. The trek is scheduled to launch a European leg this summer.
