
A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting at an Old Town parking garage. A 15-year-old girl was critically injured in the shooting.The incident occurred March 29 after a house party had moved from Rio Rancho to a parking garage on the 2000 block of Mountain Road Northwest. A spokesperson for Albuquerque police says sometime after 3 a.m., several shots were fired in the air, one of which struck the 15-year-old attempting to run away from the scene.APD homicide detectives were able to link three guns from the Old Town shooting to 11 other incidents around Albuquerque. Search warrants were conducted today in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque. Police gathered enough evidence to charge the 17-year-old with attempted murder, three counts of shooting at or from a motor vehicle, and unlawful possession of a handgun. He is in custody at the Youth Detention Center.A second person, 20-year-old Isaac Estrada, also faces three counts of shooting at or from a motor vehicle and shooting at a dwelling or occupied building. He is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
