Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo lived out their love story in the public eye. So after news broke on Monday (June 15) that he’d filed for divorce, their split left fans with tons of questions about what happens next.

Some of those questions we’ve got answers to, or at least theories about. Others, we’re just as confused as everyone else.
Here are the burning questions we’re left with in the wake of this superstar split:
Question No. 1: What About Their IVF and Surrogacy Journey?
Over the past several years, Jelly and Bunnie have spoken intermittently about the fact that they were trying for a baby. They chose to pursue in vitro fertilization (IVF) and surrogacy, due to Bunnie’s age and medical history of miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies.
The couple kept the timeline about this quiet, but did share enough to let fans know that Bunnie had undergone two egg retrieval procedures. In Bunnie’s 2026 memoir, she revealed that they’d even chosen a surrogate.

Bunnie has said that they planned to keep details of the pregnancy and birth private, potentially for some time after the baby was born. So fans weren’t expecting real-time updates, and for all they knew, the couple could have welcomed their child already.
However, it seems like that’s likely not the case. Jelly’s divorce filing in Williamson County, submitted on May 18, lists the filing type as “Divorce — NO Children.”
Bailee, Jelly’s daughter that he and Bunnie raised together, isn’t included in the filing. That’s because she’s not a minor: She turned 18 years old on May 22, four days after Jelly filed for divorce on May 18.
Also not included is Jelly’s nine-year-old son Noah. Though Noah is a big part of Jelly and Bunnie’s family, Jelly splits custody of him with his mother, Melisa.
Per Divorce.Law, Jelly’s initial filing falls under the no-fault grounds of irreconcilable differences, and indicates that their co-parenting relationship will continue for both children from his prior relationships.
Question No. 2: How Long Has Jelly Roll + Bunnie Xo’s Marriage Been in Trouble?
Their divorce news left fans reeling. Was it as sudden as it seems, or did we miss clues that trouble was brewing?
Jelly filed the divorce paperwork on May 18, the day after the 2026 ACM Awards. They didn’t attend the show, but that didn’t raise too many eyebrows — after all, a lot of stars sit out awards shows now and again.
Maybe it should have raised alarm bells that the couple didn’t post each other at all on social media in June, after paperwork was filed but before the split was public knowledge. Bunnie’s last Instagram post featuring Jelly was on Mother’s Day (May 10). She shared video from Bailee’s prom.
The couple also attended Bailee’s last dance with her in early May.
Right before the first divorce reports surfaced, Bunnie shared an Instagram Stories slide of herself in lingerie, writing, “She’s getting her sparkle back.” She also shared a quote that read, “Come here, let me show you what love feels like.”
Meanwhile, Jelly shared a TikTok video about his new favorite protein powder, writing “Swole Roll otw.” He wasn’t wearing his wedding ring in that video — but he did seem to be in a gym, so fans could have assumed that he took off his jewelry for his workout.
Question No. 3: Who’s Moving Out?
That’s unclear. TMZ shared photos of a moving truck outside the couple’s Nashville-area home, implying that someone is leaving — or, at the very least, moving some furniture out.
Bunnie hails from Las Vegas, and when the couple temporarily broke up in 2018, she moved back to Vegas while Jelly stayed in Nashville.

But that doesn’t mean she’ll leave Nashville this time around.
Not only has Bunnie built her Dumb Blonde podcast up considerably during her time in Music City, but she also seems to be the primary caretaker for the many animals that live on their farm, which include mini-cows, pigs and donkeys.
Question No. 4: Will Bunnie Xo Continue Her Dumb Blonde Podcast?
Presumably, yes.
Bunnie has always built her brand separate from her husband’s musical stardom, and she’s said that her dream of being a “female ‘shock jock'” dates back to childhood.
She’s also been very vocal about wanting to support herself with her own career, regardless of Jelly’s country music success.
Question No. 5: What Will Happen to the Floor of Jelly Roll’s Bar That’s Dedicated to Bunnie Xo?
That’s a great question. Bunnie and Jelly have intertwined their lives on almost every level in the public eye. Unraveling those ties will undoubtedly take time.
Jelly’s Lower Broadway Nashville bar, Goodnight Nashville, includes a whole section dedicated to his wife. It’s full of Bunnie-themed decor, a giant portrait and a sign that reads, “In Hoes We Trust.”

There’s no word on what’s happening to that floor, though it makes sense that he’d remodel it in some capacity in light of their breakup.
The couple have made their mark on each other in even more permanent ways, too: Jelly has a tattoo of Bunnie’s logo — a pair of bunny ears over the letters “xo” — on his forearm.
He’s also said that he got the “Music Man” tattoo across his forehead after Bunnie’s leg tattoo of the words “Married a music man,” a lyric from Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer.”
Question No. 6: Will Jelly Roll + Bunnie Xo’s Breakup Affect the Movie Based On Her Memoir?
Bunnie’s early-2026 memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, tells her story from childhood and through her career in the sex work industry. But it also prominently features Jelly and their love story.

It has since been announced that the book is being adapted into a movie, with 101 Studios (Yellowstone, Lioness) fast-tracking the process.
But will the ending of Jelly and Bunnie’s love story change the ending of the movie?
Bunnie concluded her memoir by looking to the future, and speaking about the potential of welcoming a baby (or babies) with Jelly. In light of their divorce, it seems like that ending might need to change.
Question No. 7: Will We Ever Learn What Went Wrong?
That’s up to Jelly and Bunnie.
Sometimes celebrity couples never share the exact chain of events that led to divorce.
