A 76-year-old man died after a small plane crashed into a house in southern Ohio on Thursday morning.According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the plane took off from the Greater Portsmouth Regional Airport in Minford around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.Shortly after takeoff, the plane crashed into a home on Bennett Schoolhouse Road in Scioto County, Ohio. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said only the 76-year-old pilot was on board and he died at the scene of the crash. He was identified as Kurt W. Paulus, 76, of Delaware, Ohio.Nobody inside the home was injured, but the house suffered total damage in the crash. Two people were inside at the time of the crash. Video from the scene shows fire pouring from the house in the aftermath of the crash, with smoke seen overhead for miles.The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were notified of the crash and are investigating.
