Jordan Davis and Thomas Rhett just scored another No. 1 song for themselves with “Ain’t A Bad Life,” and the two have much more in common than you might think.
They see eye to eye over a lot of lyrical points in the song, like being grateful for faith, love and small-town life. And though this doesn’t come up in “Ain’t a Bad Life,” both men have also been rapidly expanding their families.

Davis was a recent guest on Taste of Country Nights where I asked him if he and Rhett were having a secret competition that nobody knows about to see who can have the most kids and still juggle a thriving country music career.
Jordan Davis Admits Defeat to Thomas Rhett
Davis had a hilarious response to the question.
He laughed and said “If we are having a competition that I don’t know about, he has won and will continue to win because I’m tapping out at four.”
“He’s got me beat at five, he can have that belt,” Davis adds. “I’m cool with where I’m at.”
Are Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins Done Having Kids?
Earlier in the year, on Country Countdown USA, Rhett said that he and his wife were done having children. “I don’t think we’re gonna have any more kids. That’s always been Lauren’s magic number of kids (five).”

Both Rhett and Davis have said they’re done having kids, so as it stands, Rhett wins the non-existent competition to see which of them can have the most children.
But stars like Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Walker Hayes and Billy Ray Cyrus would like a word: They’ve all got both Rhett and Davis’ number beat.
