Presbyterian Hospital has announced the layoffs of 150 workers along with the discontinuation of most Medicare Advantage plans in 2027. According to a statement from Presbyterian Healthcare Services, the layoffs will be in administrative roles and not related to hospitals or clinics. In addition to the layoffs, Presbyterian Healthcare Services also announced they will no longer offer most Medicare Advantage plans in 2027. That decision does not impact coverage for the current plan year. They will continue to offer Medicare Advantage Dual Plus Special Needs Plans. Presbyterian says direct patient care roles will not be impacted.
