New Mexico State Police has confirmed that human remains have been found in Taos County and an investigation is underway to make a positive identification.A spokesperson for NMSP told KOAT that the remains were found near Rio Chiquito Road. That road is near New Mexico 518, which is where missing LANL scientist Melissa Casias was last seen before her disappearance was reported to law enforcement.Police have not said if there is any connection between the human remains and Casias’ disappearance.
