Drivers in northwest Albuquerque should prepare for major traffic disruptions as construction crews temporarily close a portion of Paseo del Norte for blasting operations tied to ongoing road improvement projects.City officials announced that Paseo Del Norte will be shut down between Universe Boulevard and Unser Boulevard beginning around noon Thursday, May 28, through approximately 5 p.m. Friday, May 29.According to project officials, crews will conduct blasting work Thursday to make way for two storm drainage areas as part of the ongoing reconstruction of the Unser and Paseo corridor.
