New Mexico has lost one of its most popular music legends.A family member has confirmed that Al Hurricane Jr., known as El Godson by many of his fans, passed away on Tuesday.In a statement, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said, “He was a true New Mexican entertainer who delighted generations. From the time he first stepped on stage as a child to every performance that followed, Al Hurricane Jr. gave us joy, pride, and a sound that is uniquely, beautifully ours.”Al Hurricane Jr. was 66 years old.
