Despite juggling a busy touring schedule as an opener for Morgan Wallen‘s I’m the Problem Tour, Miranda Lambert says she still manages to carve out quality time with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin.
To do that, she says she’s picked up one of McLoughlin’s hobbies.
“I’ve been learning to play golf this year,” Lambert tells Country Living.
“My husband loves golf, and it’s been a really fun way for us to spend time together,” the singer goes on to say, adding that it’s also a hobby that they’ve been able to take on the road with them to her various tour stops.
“We’ve found time to escape between shows and go to different courses in the cities we’re in,” she adds. “It’s been a nice way to carve out time together when life is on the go.”

Throughout the year, Lambert’s been sharing a little bit of her newfound golfing hobby with fans.

Back in March, she shared some shots of herself “working on my swaaang” on a golf course out west.
McLoughlin wasn’t in those photos, but he was there for this golfing date — she credited him for taking the photos.
She Takes Time for Her Own Hobbies, Too
Golf isn’t the only new skill Lambert is gaining in 2025.
This spring, she also shared photos of herself mastering the sport of mounted shooting and riding in her first-ever jackpot shoot competition with her horse, Cool.
Lambert is an avid horsewoman who often shows her horses at fairs, so mounted shooting is a little bit less of stretch as a hobby than golf is for this native Texan.

In February 2020, Lambert gave fans a big surprise by announcing she’d gotten married to McLoughlin, who was still a mystery man to her fanbase at the time.

McLoughlin was an NYPD police officer when he and Lambert met in 2018, when she was in New York City for an appearance on Good Morning America with the Pistol Annies.
Since then, this unlikely duo has become one of country music’s favorite couples.
She often shares their travels abroad during her off seasons from touring, and fans appreciate all the shirtless photos of McLoughlin that she posts, too.
