The president also spoke with ABC News and posted online about the incident.In a phone call with ABC News, Trump referred to the U.S. response as a “love tap.”He posted on social media, “just like we knocked them out again today, we’ll knock them out a lot harder, and a lot more violently, in the future, if they don’t get their Deal signed, FAST!”Trump has repeatedly threatened to resume bombing campaigns on Iran if it doesn’t agree to his terms. Iranian leaders say they’re examining the latest U.S. proposals to end the war. Trump said the current offer, widely reported as a one-page memorandum, essentially states that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.Axios is reporting that the proposal also includes lifting U.S. sanctions and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Tahir Andrabi, said he expects an agreement sooner rather than later, but would not offer a specific timeline. “We hope the parties will reach a peaceful and sustainable solution that will contribute not only to peace in our region but to international peace as well,” Andrabi said.
