Why Blake Shelton Missed Gwen Stefani’s Sphere Opening

Date:

Blake Shelton had a pretty understandable complaint this week — especially if you’re married to Gwen Stefani.

The country star revealed he was forced to miss No Doubt’s big Sphere opening in Las Vegas because he was booked to perform his own shows at the exact same time.

And yes, he definitely had jokes about it.

Blake Missed Gwen’s Big Premiere

While performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Shelton told the crowd he was frustrated he couldn’t be there for Stefani’s first No Doubt residency show at the Sphere.

“My wife came to town,” Shelton said, according to video obtained by TMZ. “She’s here. I mean, she’s not here. She’s over there at another venue.”

Shelton then jokingly blamed the scheduling conflict on his own team.
