Date:

Tucker Wetmore dropped his debut album, What Not To, a little over a year ago on April 25, 2025, which turbo-boosted his career into overdrive.

Being that a year has passed since his last project, I figured it was likely that he was working on his next album.

I spoke to Wetmore on Taste of Country Nights, and I asked him where he was with another album and what is inspiring his current writing.

The Three Things Inspiring Tucker Wetmore’s Next Album

The “Wine Into Whiskey” singer said three things are the driving force behind his current writing.

  • “My life, because it’s a crazy one. I feel like I’m constantly thinking about lyrics and melodies. Lyric-wise, I’m relating it to what I’ve got going on or what I’ve had going on in the past or what I’m looking forward to in the future. Making it an autobiography of me.”
  • “God, honestly. That’s been the big thing lately, is God. The main one is just praying.”
  • “My family. Being able to talk to my family and friends back home every once in a while on the phone or whatnot.”

Tucker Wetmore’s Hometown

Wetmore is from a small city called Kalama, Wash., which is around 40 miles north of Portland, Ore.
