Bernalillo County’s Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved $1.09 billion for the Fiscal Year 2027 spending plan on Tuesday.The budget outlines $478.7 million for the General Fund and $361.9 million in other funds, while setting aside reserves for state and local requirements.Funding includes investments in public safety, along with expanded support for libraries and park maintenance.County employees will see a 1% pay increase. The plan adds 17 new full-time positions and carries over more than $228 million for ongoing projects. Revenue is expected to grow slightly through taxes, though leaders say they will monitor economic conditions closely.County officials must submit the approved budget to the state by June 1.
