Jeff Landry’s office also earmarked $3 million as a hosting fee to lure LIV to New Orleans, promising a $70 million impact during what is usually a slow summer slump for tourism. WDSU has learned that the state of Louisiana will be repaid $1 million, which the state had already paid to LIV ahead of the event, and no additional money will go towards the event at this time.
