Court removes Rebecca Dow from ballot in House District 38 race

State Rep. Rebecca Dow has been removed from the ballot in the race for House District 38 after a court challenge argued her nominating petition lacked required details, including addresses. A judge upheld the challenge.Dow told KOAT, “We gathered the required signatures. We followed the process to qualify. Instead, this decision came down to a dispute over paperwork. A technical issue has now resulted in our district having no candidate on the ballot. That should concern every one of us.” Dow plans to appeal the decision to the New Mexico Supreme Court.
