Australian veteran destroyers In Malice’s Wake have announced their fifth studio album, The Profound Darkness. We’re streaming “Beyond Death” right now, which is great if you absolutely need to be decimated on this fine Friday.
Due out May 1, the record sees the band pushing further into darker territory, building on the trajectory of their previous releases with a more extreme and atmospheric approach. Described as an exploration of what lies beyond death, the album unfolds across nine tracks, each tackling different visions of the unknown.
The album was mixed by Chris Themelco at Monolith Studio in Melbourne and mastered by Plec Johansson at Panic Room Mastering. Artwork comes courtesy of frontman Shaun Farrugia. Pre-orders are available here.
