Roadwork to impact Richards Avenue traffic in Santa Fe County

Crews will begin by removing leftover shoulder humps from earlier paving work between Rabbit Road and Avenida del Sur on Tuesday, March 10. The initial phase of the project is scheduled to take about two days.Additional improvements will follow as contractors smooth roadway transitions along the corridor, including at two roundabouts — one near Willow Back Road and another near College Drive by Santa Fe Community College.Traffic will be reduced to one lane at times while crews are working, with operators directing vehicles through the area. Officials advise drivers to slow down, watch for workers and allow extra travel time while construction continues.
