Fire crews are responding to the Cummings Fire, located to the east of Albuquerque.The New Mexico Forestry Division said the wildfire was discovered just before 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 9. The fire was found burning to the east of Moriarty in Torrance County.Several structures were threatened and smoke was visible from Interstate 40 in the nearby area.A Torrance County spokesperson said the fire was contained just before 7:30 p.m. Monday. Firefighting efforts are continuing Monday evening.No injuries or damaged structures were reported by Torrance County. The Torrance County Sheriff’s Office believe the fire was started by fireworks.
