A house fire that began in the early hours of Saturday, March 7, tragically took the lives of three young adults in their early 20s, a City of Las Vegas social media news release said.Both the Las Vegas Fire Department and Las Vegas Police Department responded around 2:37 a.m. to reports of a structure fire on the 1300 block of Pecos Street.When crews arrived, they saw smoke and flames and immediately began suppression efforts. An initial search inside the house found two occupants who were taken outside. EMS and LVFD personnel attempted resuscitation, but both were pronounced dead at the scene. A third occupant who died was found later during the State Fire Marshal’s Office investigation.The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, although there is no evidence of foul play. The investigation by SFMO and LVFD will continue. All next of kin have been notified, but no names of the deceased will be released at this time out of respect for their families, the release said.
