WAGE WAR Unleash Savage New EP It Calls Me By Name & Announce U.S. Tour

Date:

Wage War are back with their most ferocious release yet: the upcoming EP It Calls Me By Name, dropping April 17 via Fearless Records. The Florida quintet have unveiled the lead single “Song of the Swamp” with a brutal video capturing the EP’s raw intensity.

“The tone setter,” the band says, “‘SONG OF THE SWAMP’ is rooted in where we’re from. Driven by the raw aggression of nature, it’s a heavy track built on tension and hostility.” Packed with bloodthirsty screams, crushing riffs, and pummeling drums, the track feels like wrestling a swamp predator – merciless, heavy, and utterly relentless. As the lyrics declare, listeners will be “overpowered” by every note.

On the EP as a whole, Wage War explain, “It Calls Me By Name is about being drawn to your roots. This isn’t a concept EP but is meant to live in its own world. Five tracks shaped by Florida, the swamp, and the relentless aggression of nature. Built heavy, but still driven by the hooks that have defined us. It’s our signature sound amplified and pushed further into metal than we’ve ever taken it.”

To bring these leviathan-sized tracks to life, Wage War will hit the road for the It Calls Me By Name Tour, supported by Nevertel and Orthodox. The tour launches April 28 in Phoenix and wraps May 31 in St. Petersburg, Florida, promising punishing live renditions of the new material alongside the band’s signature metalcore hits.
