New Mexico State Police said an active search is underway after a man shot at an officer.The shooting happened in southeast New Mexico, near U.S. Highway 285 at mile marker 185. That shooting happened north of Roswell.The latest search efforts are in Fort Sumner, where the suspect is believed to be located.
