A large house fire needed both the Dona Ana Fire Rescue and Las Cruces Fire to stop, but they were unable to rescue a person who was inside and died, a DAFR social media news release said.The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived and began defensive fire operations. No other injuries were reported.The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Dona Ana Fire Marshal and the New Mexico Fire Marshal’s Office. The Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office will provide security at the scene while the investigation is done.
