Early voting will expand this weekend in Rio Rancho.Residents will make important choices regarding city council seats, the mayor, and bond issues concerning roads and public safety. Right now, voting is available at the Broadmoor Senior Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.Four other early voting sites will open on Saturday, Feb. 14.The ballot includes the mayoral race, which currently has six candidates, city council seats for Districts 2, 3, and 5, and a municipal judge position. There will also be three bond questions.City Clerk Noel Davis said they are expecting about a 15% to 17% voter turnout.”It’s really important that the citizens of Rio Rancho get out to vote because we do have three bond questions, the mayor, three city council positions, and the judge.
