Florida Congressman Maxwell Frost said he was assaulted while attending the Sundance Film Festival in Utah on Friday.The Democratic congressman posted on X saying a man told him that “Trump was going to deport him,” and then punched him in the face before running off into the crowd. Park City police say the suspect, Christian Joel Young, 28, hopped over the security fence into the High West Distillery after previously being denied entry to the invitation-only event. Frost told police that Young said, “We are going to deport you and your kind.”According to the report, after allegedly punching Frost in the face, Young approached two women and began making conversation that was “racially charged.”One of the women told police that Young grabbed her, pushed her against the bar, and said, “You are the kind we are going to deport. You’re being deported.” Security approached and apprehended Young, who allegedly had a Sundance Film Festival pass in his possession that did not belong to him.Young was later arrested by Park City police and booked into the Summit County Jail, where he is being charged with aggravated burglary, attempting/assaulting an elected official and assault.
