The Lobos football team is preparing for the Rate Bowl, seeking to add another historic moment to their successful season.The Lobos finished the season with a 9-3 record, including a 6-2 conference record, and remained undefeated at home. Notably, they defeated the Air Force for the first time in 25 years, a feat achieved when only one active player was alive, who was about three years old at the time. This season, the team has exceeded expectations and now has the opportunity to set a new standard.”I mean, it’s amazing feeling. Being part of history is, something people will always talk about. If you’re a part of history books, you’re remembered forever. If you if you aren’t, you’re forgotten. So my, head coach in high school used to always say, you don’t die when you die. You die when the last person remembers, you die. I feel like that’s what we’re kind of building here.
