Universal Music Group UMG -1.16%decrease; red down pointing triangle signed a deal with artificial intelligence music generator Udio to launch a new platform trained on licensed songs, the companies said Wednesday.
The agreement is part of a settlement in a dispute in which Universal, the world’s largest record company, accused the AI startup of copyright infringement.
