‘Dawson’s Creek’ House for Sale: Dock and All

Date:

For fans of Dawson’s Creek, this might be the ultimate dream listing.

The real-life home featured as Dawson Leery’s house on the beloved teen drama is officially on the market — and it’s as picturesque as ever.

Listed at $3.25 million, the white waterfront home is located in Wilmington, North Carolina, and offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and 1.7 acres of private, coastal charm.

The Real Star of Dawson’s Creek

Fans will immediately recognize the wide front porch and peaceful dock, both of which played host to some of the series’ most emotional moments between Dawson (James Van Der Beek), Joey (Katie Holmes), Pacey (Joshua Jackson), and Jen (Michelle Williams).

It’s white façade, wide porch, and familiar dock became central to the show’s story,” the listing reads, “an instantly recognizable symbol of coastal life and coming-of-age nostalgia.”

But this wasn’t just a film location — it was a real family home filled with love and history.

A Legacy Built on Art and Family

Originally built in 1880, the house has been in the same family for generations — most recently owned by artist siblings known as The Tremaine Twins.

“Our #home has always remained in the family,” they shared in a heartfelt Instagram post. “Our mom, Margaret, was here for all the years of Dawson’s Creek filming, and she was dearly loved by the cast and crew. Her love was reflected in the series — that’s why her house was the true star of the wildly popular show.”

The family described the home as one “bursting with music and art,” and shared that Margaret — a talented musician and painter — recently passed away.

“We are heartbroken to leave,” they added, “but we hope our home will pass on to people who will cherish it.”

Built to Endure

According to the listing, the home was framed from hand-hewn timbers salvaged from shipwrecks in the nearby Intracoastal Waterway — and has withstood nearly 150 years of hurricanes and coastal storms.

It started as a summer home and is now considered the oldest house on The Sound, also known as Greenville Sound.

A Show That Still Connects

The listing comes nearly 30 years after Dawson’s Creek premiered, and just weeks after several original cast members reunited for a charity event supporting James Van Der Beek’s cancer battle.

Van Der Beek, who revealed a stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis, had to bow out of the in-person event due to illness — but surprised fans with a touching video message that brought everyone back to Capeside, if only for a moment.

A Home That Holds a Thousand Stories

With its historic bones, cinematic past, and emotional roots, this home isn’t just real estate — it’s a piece of TV history.

And for one lucky buyer, it could be the setting for the next chapter of a very nostalgic story.
