DENVER — The Denver Broncos (4-2) held off the Seattle Seahawks (3-3) on Thursday night as coach Mike Macdonald’s team fought back to push for overtime, but it wasn’t enough as Denver won 17-14.
In coach Sean Payton’s second game since he took back playcalling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb, the Broncos put together a 16-play drive for their first touchdown of game, which marked their longest drive of the season.
In one of their worst offensive showings since Macdonald became their head coach in 2024, the Seahawks managed only 184 yards through the first three quarters and were kept at bay by Denver’s defense, which had five sacks on Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold.
