Bills strike first as Josh Allen hits Gabe Davis for a TD

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — After a week of talk about the Miami Dolphins’ offense, the Buffalo Bills made their own statement to begin Week 4’s AFC East showdown.

At the beginning of the game, quarterback Josh Allen (Josh Allen) and wide receiver Gabe Davis (Gabe Davis) teamed up to complete an 18-yard touchdown pass to help the Dolphins lead 7-0.

The score capped an eight-play, 75-yard drive by the Bills, who rushed down the field with ease. The ride was four minutes slower. Allen connected with Davis, who sprinted down the right sideline with cornerback Justin Bethel covering him.

Davis scored his third consecutive touchdown, tying the longest streak of his career. Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou was hit with an unnecessary roughness penalty when he pushed wide receiver Stefon Diggs out of bounds on the end of a 17-yard reception that set up the score.

The Bills tried to establish a balance against the run and offense early, with James Cook and Latavis Murray rushing twice each and Allen completing all four of his first four passes.
