MEXICO. MAGISTRATE COURTS. WELL, THE RANGE LINING UP NOW, BUT MORE MONSOON DOWNPOURS ARE AHEAD. BYRON, HAS YOUR SEVEN WEATHER. ALL RIGHT, DARLENE. AND YEAH, WE’VE BEEN WATCHING THE EMBUDO RIVER FLOW AND OF COURSE, THAT FLOWS INTO THE NORTH. DIVERSION CHANNEL. I WANT TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING VERY INTERESTING. CHECK OUT THIS SPIKE AS THAT RAIN SLAMMED THE ALBUQUERQUE METRO. WE WENT FROM PRACTICALLY NOTHING IN THE ARROYO TO AROUND ABOUT 245, 345 THIS AFTERNOON, I SHOULD SAY. LET ME LOOK CLOSELY AT THIS TO MAKE SURE. BUT YEAH, IT LOOKS LIKE AROUND 245, WE DID HAVE A SPIKE UP TO OVER 12FT IN THAT ARROYO AND IT JUST SHOWS YOU HOW QUICKLY THOSE ARROYOS RISE WITH THE RAINFALL. SO YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO KEEP CLEAR OF ALL OF THOSE BECAUSE IT ONLY TAKES SIX INCHES OF WATER TO SWEEP YOU OFF YOUR FEET. 12FT. THAT’S A WALL OF WATER. FOLKS AT FLOOD ADVISORY CONTINUES FOR THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF ALBUQUERQUE FOR A LITTLE BIT LONGER TILL 530 BECAUSE OF THOSE HIGH FLOWS ON THE ARROYOS, YOU SEE THE WAVES OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT ROLLED ACROSS EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON HAVE EXITED THE AREA FOR NOW. WE’RE LOOKING AT MORE THUNDERSTORMS UP AROUND SANTA FE BEGINNING TO PULL AWAY. BUT WE DO HAVE A FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SANTA FE. SO YOU WANT TO DEFINITELY KEEP CLEAR OF THE ARROYOS, DITCHES OF WATER, COVER ROADS THERE AND A NEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING. THIS IS FOR HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE IN OTERO COUNTY NEAR THE ALAMOGORDO AREA AS THIS STORM ROLLS OFF TO THE EAST, COULD HAVE SOME VERY STRONG, GUSTY WINDS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST AS WELL. SO STAY INSIDE AND AWAY FROM WINDOWS THERE. ALL OF THIS WORKING ACROSS THE NORTHERN PART OF NEW MEXICO RIGHT NOW WITH THE DISTURBANCE THAT’S ROLLING ACROSS THE STATE RIGHT NOW, BRINGING SOME DARK CLOUDS CONTINUING OVER THE ALBUQUERQUE AREA. STORMS SHIFT WESTWARD. THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. MONSOON DOWNPOURS WILL PICK UP AGAIN FOR THE WEEKEND AND THAT COULD LEAD TO MORE POCKETS OF SOME HEAVY RAINFALL. SO YOU SEE THIS LITTLE SWIRL RIGHT HERE, THIS DISTURBANCE THAT IS OVER THE NORTHERN ROCKIES, UP OVER WYOMING. THAT LITTLE PIECE OF ENERGY STRETCHED THROUGH NEW MEXICO. AND THAT’S WHAT SPARKED THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR TODAY. SO STILL A CHANCE OF SOME ISOLATED, SCATTERED STORMS AS WE HEAD THROUGH YOUR EVENING HOURS TOMORROW. THE MONSOON INDEX IN THE LOW CATEGORY AS THOSE STORMS BEGIN TO FAVOR WESTERN NEW MEXICO, A LITTLE BIT DRIER FOR CENTRAL AND EASTERN AREAS OF THE STATE. SO TONIGHT, WE COULD SEE ANOTHER ROUND FUTURE TRACK SEVEN SHOWING PERHAPS SOME STORMS TRYING TO ROLL THROUGH THE ALBUQUERQUE METRO AREA. THIS EVENING. SO DEFINITELY HAVE A PLAN TO GET INSIDE. IF YOU HAVE PLANS TO BE OUTSIDE THIS EVENING, STARTING OFF QUIET FOR YOUR WEDNESDAY. BUT BY THE AFTERNOON, WE’LL SEE THAT CHANCE OF STORMS FAVORING AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF I-25, ESPECIALLY THE FARTHER WEST YOU GO, DRIER FOR CENTRAL AND EASTERN AREAS, INCLUDING ALBUQUERQUE. AND IT WILL BE HOT TO ROSWELL. WE DO HAVE ANOTHER HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR TOMORROW. SO STAY HYDRATED THERE. FARMS IN THE FOUR CORNERS, THE BEST CHANCE OF STORMS. IT LOOKS LIKE, WOULD BE AROUND CHINLE, GALLUP AND GRANTS TO POINTS OFF TO THE SOUTH AND WEST. I THINK FARMINGTON ONLY A SLIGHT CHANCE TOMORROW A LITTLE BIT BETTER SHOT IN FARMINGTON STORMS AROUND ON THURSDAY AND THEN DEFINITELY AS WE GET INTO THE WEEKEND WITH A MORE CLASSIC MONSOON FLOW DEVELOPING SOUTHWEST NEW MEXICO, YOU’LL BE IN AND OUT OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. SOCORRO T OR C, SILVER CITY, LORDSBURG AND DEMING GIVING YOU AN UPTICK IN THAT CHANCE OF STORMS FOR THURSDAY. AND THEN EVEN BETTER CHANCES FOR THE UPCOMING WEEKEND WITH TEMPERATURES INTO THE MIDDLE 80S ON SATURDAY INTO THE SOUTHEAST. WE’RE LOOKING AT THAT BEST CHANCE OF STORMS FAVORING THE RUDO SO AREA AND CLOUDCROFT, THE MOUNTAINS AREAS AROUND ALAMOGORDO, A LITTLE BIT DRIER OFF TO THE EAST AND IT WILL BE HOTTER FOR AREAS AROUND ROSWELL, CARLSBAD AND HOBBS. I THINK THAT WE WILL SEE THE CHANCES OF RAIN GOING UP IN ROSWELL FOR THE UPCOMING WEEKEND. THOSE TEMPERATURES FINALLY GETTING A LITTLE BIT LOWER, A LITTLE BIT BETTER. RATON, LAS VEGAS AND SANTA ROSA. DRY DAY. IT LOOKS LIKE FOR TOMORROW WITH THAT BEST CHANCE OF STORMS BACK TO THE WEST AND LAS VEGAS, YOU’LL SEE YOUR STORM CHANCES GOING UP AS WE GET INTO SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WITH THAT MORE CLASSIC MONSOON FLOW. SAME DEAL FOR SANTA FE, LOS ALAMOS, THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF NEW MEXICO, TAOS, ESPANOLA, LOW STORM CHANCES FOR TOMORROW AND THURSDAY. BUT FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND, SANTA FE, YOU’LL SEE YOUR STORM CHANCES GOING UP AS WELL. BERNALILLO, RIO RANCHO LOS LUNAS IN A LOW STORM CHANCE FOR TOMORROW. CAN’T RULE IT OUT COMPLETELY, BUT DEFINITELY NOT AS GREAT AS WHAT WE HAD FOR TODAY. AND THEN WE’RE SEEING THAT LOW STORM CHANCE FOR THURSDAY. BUT NOTICE FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, THOSE STORM CHANCES WILL BE BACK UP INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. SO IT DOES APPEAR THAT WE’LL FINALLY GET INTO THIS MORE MONSOON PATTERN AS THAT MONSOON MOISTURE EBBS AN
