DPS investigating fatal crash on I-17

The two-vehicle collision happened around 3:45 a.m.

ARIZONA, USA — The Department of Public Safety is investigating a deadly crash on northbound Interstate 17 near New River.

The two-vehicle collision happened around 3:45 a.m. Saturday morning. 

The northbound lanes were closed at milepost 233, just north of the New River exit, while crews worked to clear the scene. They reopened just after 8 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
