Paul Krebs found not guilty on two counts of embezzlement

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A jury has found former University of New Mexico athletic director Paul Krebs not guilty on both counts. Krebs faces two counts of embezzlement after KRQE’s Larry Barker uncovered suspicious payments related to a golf trip to Scotland in 2015.

Related reports:

The trial began on Monday, July 17, with testimony from Krebs himself, as well as other donors who were on the golf trip. Krebs faces two counts of embezzlement related to a notorious 2015 golf trip to Scotland when potential donors had the trip paid for by UNM, and for allegedly using UNM funds to reimburse the Lobo Club, a sports-focused booster foundation that originally paid a deposit for the trip.

This is a story of development.
