ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque’s newest speed enforcement cameras are now live. The city installed more cameras on Central Ave. and San Pedro Rd., monitoring both eastbound and westbound lanes. The city has 22 speed cameras in all, and they are looking to add more on Lead Ave., Coors Blvd., Eubank Blvd., Tramway Blvd., and Carlisle Blvd.

Since installing the cameras three years ago, the city says speeding has gone down anywhere from 42% to nearly 90%, depending on the location.
